Mari Ryono, Director of Development and Evaluation, Mobilize the Immigrant Vote
Because of the scope of our work and size of our budget, we aren’t able to make multiyear grants, but we want to be clear about our intention to establish ongoing relationships with key partner organizations whose work is closely aligned with our own.
The bulk of the Mitchell Kapor Foundation's targeted grants support our key partner organizations, which:
- focus on movement building.
- are committed to diversity and representation in staff and board membership.
- are creating thoughtful and meaningful opportunities for residents of low-income communities and communities of color to participate in decision-making that impacts their well-being.
- collaborate with current and past Mitchell Kapor Foundation grant recipient organizations.
As part of our work with key grant recipient organizations, the Mitchell Kapor Foundation is committed to:
- providing technical assistance;
- creating more opportunities for organizations to build relationships and network;
- implementing a more streamlined funding process; and
- fostering continued openness and positive connections with these allies.
