Strategic Grants

Imani and Amado are inspiring to us all!

The Mitchell Kapor Foundation supports organizations that provoke social change in communities of color en route to equality. We provide financial resources and assist with efforts to galvanize a compelling force for social change.

We use three primary tactics in pursuit of our mission: grantmaking and community partnerships, collaboration with other funders, and technical assistance to organizations.

  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area (preferred but not required)

Please review our How to Apply and Frequently Asked Questions pages; each section outlines our goals and priorities in greater detail.

We welcome informed inquiries on how we can work together. Please note that we rarely consider external solicitations and requests for grants outside of our listed priority areas.
